Grillo Sicilia DOC

This is the result of our love and commitment to our land. A rich and scented white wine with brackish and marine typical notes of its growing area: the Stagnone Lagoon in Marsala (TP). Fresh and elegant, it is perfectly suitable with  dishes rich in flavours of the Mediterranean cuisine.

Altitude: from 15 to 30m above sea level
Terrain: medium mixture tending to sandy
Yield of grapes/ha: 60 quintals/ha
Vineyard planting system: espalier system with Guyot pruning
Harvest: late August, beginning of September
Grape variety: 100% Grillo
Vinification: the harvest occurs manually into small crates. After the destemming and a long cold maceration on the skins, a soft and progressive grape pressing begins. A slow thermo-controlled alcoholic fermentation follows.
AGEING: the wine ages for 2 months on the lees in stainless steel vats, followed by at least 3 months of ageing in bottles before being out on the market.
ORGANOLEPTIC CHARACTERISTICS
COLOUR: bright yet pale straw yellow colour
SCENT: fine and elegant with intense primary aromas along with different herbal notes.
TASTE: dry and persuasive with well-balanced brackish hints
ALCOHOL STRENGTH: 13% vol
SERVING TEMPERATURE: 6-8° C
FOOD PAIRING SUGGESTIONS: best when paired with dishes based on the Mediterranean cuisine
